Eighteen Members and four Guests met at Egmanton Village Hall last evening for the last Meeting of 2015.
After dealing with the business of the meeting, the new programmes for 2016 were handed out and Members were informed that the first meeting in 2016 will be 'Nottinghamshire Blood Bikes' and the competition will be 'Something Red'. The overall winner of the competitions for 2015 was Lydia Anderson, with Janet Carlisle and Pauline Pottinger as joint second. Members then read out various poems about Christmas, which were all very funny. We then spent the rest of the evening enjoying the food and drink bought in by everyone and having a social time. As we had all, also bought a small wrapped gift, everyone went home at the end 0f the evening with a present. All of the Members of Egmanton WI would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Happy Christmas and a Very Peaceful New Year. |
